  • Vitamin C (Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate): A strong antioxidant, present at 3%, brightens and boosts collagen in the skin, and is 8x stronger than L-ascorbic acid at collagen formation. It helps reverse sun damage by shielding against both UVA and UVB. 

    Tetra hexadecyl is a form of vitamin C that has been modified to be more lipid-soluble, due to which it penetrates deeper into the skin. The issue with most topical vitamin C is they’re water-soluble and can’t cross the lipid-rich skin barrier to reach the dermis of skin where they could give maximum effect. This modified form of vitamin C is able to penetrate the epidermis and move to the layer underneath called dermis. It’s in the dermis where collagen protein is produced which gives your skin its youthful firmness and resists wrinkles.
